The Library is having a collection of more than 30 thousand print documents, subscribing to 87 print journals. The collection consists of Books, Back volumes Periodicals, Conference Proceedings, Standards, Reports, Microforms, and CD-ROM Databases and Audiovisual materials.

The Library uses Dewey Decimal Classification (DDC) scheme to classify its documents. Each subject is assigned to a classification number to locate book on shelf. Books are arranged on the racks in the ascending order of classification numbers. The total numbers of text books have 29556 on various subjects of Arts, Science, Management Studies, Paramedical & Allied Health Science streams.

Reference Books such as dictionaries, encyclopedias, atlases, handbooks, manuals, directories, and specialized subject guides are housed in the library to support the academic needs of its users. The reference books are displayed in separate almirahs with easy visibility and are available for reading purpose only. They provide concise and reliable information on a wide range of topics, serving students, researchers, and the general user seeking accurate information for academic, professional, or personal purposes. The total numbers of reference books have 4383.

The Library have few rare books. These books can be accessed by the users after special permission of the librarian.

The library has a very good collection of gifted books of different subjects. These books are gifted by the teachers, students, publishers, guest faculty, and alumni of the college. The total numbers of gift books have 2127.

The Library subscribes to 87 print journals. The current issues of these periodicals are kept in the current periodical display room. They are arranged department-wise. Within each department the periodicals are arranged in the alphabetical order of their titles. A list of recent arrival of print journals is pasted on the notice board adjacent to the current periodical display room and is also circulated via 'Gmail' on weekly basis.

The collection of Theses and Dissertations at Midnapore City College encompasses a range of scholarly works submitted by postgraduate and doctoral students as part of their academic requirements. These documents reflect original research conducted in various disciplines and serve as valuable resources for current and future students, faculty, and researchers. This software is used to manage Midnapore City College Central Library. Our library uses version 20.11.06.000. The implementation of koha at Midnapore City College enhances its ability to organize and provide access to its various acquisitions, OPAC (Online Public Access Catalogue), Serials Management, Circulation, Cataloging, Customization and Flexibility, Statistics, Reports and other educational resource collections.

Being a part of SWAYAM-NPTEL local chapter, Midnapore City College creates a dynamic and effective learning environment for digital learning.
